Managing Tasks (Items)

Tasks (or Items) are the building blocks of your projects.

Creating Tasks

  1. Select a project and click Add Task.
  2. Enter a summary and description.
  3. Assign a Work Type, Priority, and Due Date.

Task Hierarchy

Organize complex work by using subtasks:

  • Parent Tasks: The main objective.
  • Subtasks: Smaller, manageable pieces of work nested under a parent.
  • Use the Set Parent feature to convert an existing task into a subtask.

Tracking Progress

  • Statuses: Move tasks through your workflow (e.g., Todo -> In Progress -> Done).
  • Assignees: Assign tasks to team members to clarify ownership.
  • Story Points: Estimate the effort required for each task.

Reordering Tasks

Prioritize your work by dragging and dropping tasks in the list or board view to change their order.
